Manchester-based bedroom pop artist Freak Slug's sound sits in the same world as artists like Crumb and Good Morning, using a combination of indie, pop, shoe-gaze and R&B. Her third album La Love was released last year, a slow-paced, ethereal journey through bubblegum pop melodies, analogue drum machines and off-kilter guitar playing. Her new single 'Eazy Peazy' has just landed. It's cradled by luscious lo-fi electronics, injected with smooth R&B. Freak Slug sings with an effortless flow, her vocals sopping with her characteristic reverb. The song is accompanied by a very charming video - an animation that flashes a series of hand-drawn images, from fruit, to an electric guitar and furniture.
